Suffering From “Pandemic Fatigue” - Learn The Ways To Deal With It

Since the last 8 months pandemic has been over our heads, it has not only affected our mental and physical health but has also taken a toll on our wellbeing.

This “new normal” is definitely not normal for us! It is taking a lot of effort and mental stability to make us familiar with the changes. Sanitizing groceries, washing hands, and handling the housework all by ourselves on a daily basis has been quite tiring. We never did something like this before for such a long time. There’s a restriction in almost everything! We are not been able to meet our friends, relatives, and haven’t been able to go out, watch a movie. There is no longer freedom of movement! These things and restrictions have definitely affected a lot of people.

Pandemic fatigue is the state of emotions and mental health that came from the lockdown and the quarantine. Emotions like anxiety, uncertainty, loneliness, fear, and hopelessness can affect an individual drastically. Dealing with such emotions on a daily basis is not that easy and this leads to pandemic fatigue.

Today I will provide you with some tips to cope with this pandemic fatigue. So, here we go:

Avoid reading the news on daily basis:

Reading every day about the virus and I’s peak can increase your fear and anxiety making you more disturbed. You should limit your daily news information gathering to prevent mental stress.

Socialize:

Try talking to your friends via a video call or catch up with them. Talking to someone and sharing your thoughts and emotions will make you feel normal and you will realize that you are not the one facing such a situation. Everyone is on the same page so talking with people will make you feel better.

Do Medication:

Medication is one of the tried and tested methods to reduce stress and anxiety. One should definitely take some out in the morning and meditate for at least 10 minutes. This will relax your mind and address your feelings making you feel fresh and energetic for a kick start of the day.

Self-pamper:

Try to take out time for your own. Pamper yourself! Be it having a good sleep for hours, watching your favorite movie, or having your favorite food, or doing anything that you wish. This will boost up your mood.

I’m hopeful that these tips will definitely help you deal with the current situation and most importantly you are not alone! We all are facing the same.

So, my dear folks do let me know how you felt after applying these tips in the comment section below. Till then stay safe and stay tuned for further upcoming updates.
