Creating Humanoid Robot Is The Next Logical Step for Tesla -Musk Says During Tesla AI Day conference

Robot-based technology has evolved over the years, although it hasn't really become mainstream. Tesla chief executive Elon Musk may be planning to change that after he revealed that his company is working on a humanoid robot. According to the report, a prototype of Kinarabot will be ready sometime next year.

The Tesla CEO further said that Tesla's robot will be about 5 feet 8 inches tall and will weigh about 125 pounds. There will be a screen for a face and the robot will aim to adapt. Musk also said that Tesla is designing robots on a mechanical level. "It's to adapt," joked Musk, "and navigate a world made for humans."

Musk was speaking at the Tesla AI Day conference and said that creating a humanoid robot is the next logical step for Tesla. He said the robot would borrow and use the equipment already in the Tesla car. These include sensors, cameras, neural networks and will be used to allow the robot to navigate autonomously.
