Failure is the way to success. There would be no person on this earth who has never failed in his life but when you fail in a business start-up, it becomes very devastating and causes a long-term impact on your life as an entrepreneur. It also causes financial stress and a lack of confidence. So before you start your business start-up, you should be ready for failures, challenges, and making essential changes in your business model according to the situation demand. If you are planning for your own business start-up, then my friend, this article is for you.

SK Sundar Raman, familiar as Ram, had a dream of being an entrepreneur since his childhood. He was excellent at studies and further he went to pursue an MBA post-graduation. It was his belief that an MBA will give a thrust to his journey of being an entrepreneur and this all was at the time when the internet was new to whole the world in the year 2000.

So, Ram took the decision to initiate an internet start-up. He founded Bannari Infotech which was an online networking company for IT professionals. He poured huge capital and efforts into his business but it could not sustain because the internet was new to whole the world and in India, the internet was like a newborn baby and was less familiar than it was in other developed countries.
After this failure, he stood up again and ventured into a new business. He founded Shiva Texyarn which is an integrated textile company. Dry Sheet is one of their products which is an effective replacement of rubber sheet placed under the toddlers. Shiva Texyarn also manufactures chemically- biological suits for Indian armed forces. These suits protect soldiers from chemical explosions. Now Shiva Texyarn is one of the largest producers of Artist Canvas which put this company in the list of the few companies that export to China.

Their Business Plan In COVID-19 Crisis

In the difficult times caused by COVID-19, Ram slightly changed his business model and came up with a new series of products due to situation demand. This company launched products to fight against COVID-19. They introduced affordable PPE kits and face masks. Their affordable specialty masks come with antiviral treatment and their two-layered shield for just rupees 49.

This mask is washable and this can be washed a minimum three times. You can put it on again with the same level of protection and there is no toxic chemical in the mask. The testing for the same has been done in various national and international labs. Shiva Texyarn has also received IS18184 certification for the antiviral effect. This made in India product is highest in its class in the world.

Shares And Association

Shiva Texyarn is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: 511108)[8][9] and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE: SHIVATEX)
The company is an associate of Bannari Amman Group and Bannari Amman Spinning Mills which is one of the largest textile groups in India. The company is 75% owned by shareholders connected to the group so the publicly floated stock is small.
