How These Two engineers Turned A Simple Tea-Selling Idea Into A Million-Dollar Business?
Each of us must be aware of discomfort when answering the question, "So what do you want to do in life?" For many years, responses were primarily limited to a few options, such as medicine, engineering, teaching, and accounting. But over time, these trends have also changed and people have started to consider non-traditional career options as well.
Recently, the wave of startups has hit the younger generation so hard that even established doctors and engineers are eager to grow their businesses and are ready to leave their jobs well off.
Abhinav Tandon and Pramit Sharma are two of those young men who, after graduating from university, started their own start-up projects instead of pursuing an engineering profession. His original idea of selling the best tea for ordinary men now generates annual sales of millions of rupees.
Abhinav and Pramit from Uttar Pradesh got a good business idea for a cup of tea. After graduating with an engineering degree, the two friends began looking for a good new business opportunity as they always wanted to do something on their own. Eventually, they liked the idea of selling tea in an unusual way and launched their own Tea Calling, a retail store.
Abhinava and Pramit Company has solved the problem of mustache tea lovers by sending hot tea to their door whenever they want.
The birth of an idea
Abhinav and Pramit, one of them a programmer and the other an electrical engineer, were familiar with the dense bags of various international companies. It is interesting that during their years of engineering, these two friends regularly read business journals. They wanted to start a business immediately, but a lack of capital prevented them from standing on their own. They both decided to start a business that would create more jobs and less investment.
How did they start?
All friends say goodbye to their jobs when they start their business. They opened their first tea room in Sector 16, Noida, near a subway station with a starting capital of Rs 1 lakh that they had saved on their wages. By serving fresh and excellent tea to their customers, they turned thousands of people into loyal customers within a few days.
For the first time, they started fast door-to-door delivery of tea. They called the concept "Tea Brigade", which produces hot, high-quality tea in just 15 minutes. Currently, Abhinav and Pramit have a total of 10 tea stalls and hope to expand their business to other cities as well. These tea items offer 15 types of tea from 5 to 25 rupees.
The company's annual sales have reached millions of dollars. These young people could have continued in paid employment but instead chose to run their businesses according to their skills and offer other employment opportunities.
