Rakul Preet Singh Team State That They Did Not Receive Any Summons For A Drug Nexus Probe

Rakul Preet is a famous actress in the south film industry. She had rendered her services in Bollywood also, but she is most popular in south Indian, movies, and dramas.

Recently, she was busy with her shooting, she came to know about the NCB summons for drug nexus probe. And when she heard it, she closed her behind the doors and got underground, staying away from social media, and even her phone calls were unreachable.

Now, the reports are saying that Rakul Preet Singh was called for questioning by NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) with Simone Khambatta ( fashion designer) in the drug nexus case. Yesterday, she arrived from Hyderabad and today had reached Mumbai for questioning. On the other hand, her team also claimed that they did not receive any summons by NCB.

However, Times Now report says that NCB sources informed her summon digitally due to her name featured in FIR 1620.

Republic TV also reports that NCB may issue her second summon, and if she again ignores it, a non- bailable warrant will be sought against her.

Further, the news channel reported that she is not going to join the probe today. The De De Pyaar De actress was just summoned by the NCB after Jaya Saha's questioning by the agency about this consequence. As per Republic TV, the NCB director KPS Malhotra told them that they contacted the actress through various means including her phone too which was unreachable. However, he reportedly claimed that her phone remained unavailable. Further, he told the news channel, "We think this is just an excuse about her statement that she has not received the summons. Summons have been served to her digitally as well. A practice which is  being followed since the Covid-19 pandemic." However, despite this, Rakul's team denied that they didn’t receive any summons and that the actress is not willing to join interrogation today. Further, Republic TV also reported that the NCB may issue a second summon Rakul and a non-bailable warrant would be sought by them if the actress does not come for questioning this time.

As per Times reports  Now, Rakul was in Hyderabad she returned to Mumbai yesterday. Reportedly, apart from Rakul, summon was also sent to, Deepika Padukone, her manager, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Khan. On Wednesday, even designer Simone Khambatta was called for questioning for a drug nexus probe after her chats with Rhea Chakraborty came to a light post the star's arrest. Simone was seen making her way to the NCB office for questioning. Further, it was reported that Shruti Modi also was summoned by the agency for questioning.
