He earned a Mechanical Engineering degree at Delhi College of Engineering in Delhi. Currently, this college is called Delhi Technological University.

It was only after joining a class that he realized that he should pursue a career in acting. While there he understood that he could act very well and he also liked acting. Within a few months, she was included in a good dance group in Davar. In the 51st Filmfare Awards ceremony held in 2005, Sushant Rajput was also in the group of background dancers. The 2006 Commonwealth Games event was held in Australia. Cultural programs were organized in it. Rajput was included in that too.

At that time, he was very tired of studying his engineering and also fell into the paper and he could not feel like studying. But at the same time, his interest in dance and drama was increasing. It was then that he decided to quit engineering and started focusing solely on dicing and acting.

Sushant moved to Mumbai to work in films and worked for two-and-a-half years at Nadira Babbar's 'Unite' theater. During that time he worked in advertising for the Nestlé stage on TV.
