Yesterday, our PM visited Zydus Cadila's plant near Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech's facility in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India (SII) in Pune to check the status of the developments of the COVID-19 vaccine in India, as well as understand the auxiliary facilities needed to store and transport the vaccines.

This news was even confirmed a day prior by PM’s office that he will be visiting the three cities the next day.
PM Modi first arrived at Zydus Cadila's manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad. After his visit he disclosed that Zydus is about to begin Phase 3 of its clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccine in December, and is aiming to launch the vaccine by March 2021. It is also reported that the company is expected to submit results from Phase 2 trials soon.
