Prime Minister Urges People To Be Responsible During This Festive Season As Coronavirus Is Still There!

As the Lockdown is loosened more traffic is engaged to the public and private places as well. People after a few months of lockdown are finding fun to roaming and traveling out of their residences. After all, we know that the dreadful virus influence is not over yet. We have just got the vaccine but not everyone is treated with immunity. 

Our country will soon cross the 10 crore test number which is in itself a massive achievement in our fight against Coronavirus. Our corona warriors including doctors, nurses, and health workers have all served our massive population minutely. This is not the time to be careless.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came live to advised the nation. 

In his speech he requested people to take all precautions to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus as the "lockdown may have ended, the Covid-19 pandemic has not". "In this festive season, markets are radiant again but we need to remember that the lockdown might have ended but Covid-19 persists," PM Modi said.

PM Modi has addressed the nation six times during the Covid-19 pandemic. Here are his previous addresses:

• Second Address: The first coronavirus-induced lockdown was announced
• Third Address: PM appealed to people to light diyas and candles
• Fourth Address: Lockdown 2 was announced
• Fifth Address: Covid Relief package was announced
• Sixth Address: PM Modi announced Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY)

In this seventh address of around 12 minutes,  PM Modi said that India's condition is stable but everyone must practice precaution. "With efforts of every Indian over the last 7-8 months, India is in a stable situation we must not let it deteriorate," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

He added -"Today, the recovery rate in the country is good. The fatality rate is low. In India, 5,500 out of every 10 lakh people are infected, whereas in countries like the United States and Brazil this figure is around 25,000." In India, the rate of deaths is 83 out of every 10 lakh population, whereas it is more than 600 in countries like the US, Brazil, Spain, Britain, etc. 

Prime Minister Modi noted that several videos and photos have emerged where people are seen stepping out of their houses without a mask which he declared an improper act. He said "If you step out without a mask, you put your families at risk. We must remember - whether it is America or Europe, cases declined & then there was a sudden spike,"

On Vaccine treatment : 

Preparing for a future agenda for India’s continuous fight against Covid-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that while rising test numbers have been India’s strength, the government is preparing to make the vaccine accessible to every Indian very soon.

“India has a facility of more than 90 lakh beds for Covid-19 patients. There are 12,000 quarantine centers, around 2000 Corona testing labs. The number of tests will cross 10 crores soon. In our fight against COVID, rise in the number of tests has been our strength,” PM Narendra Modi said.
