Neelam Singh, an Agra native, had always imagined herself as a foodpreneur, even after obtaining her MBA and while working in corporate America.
Disappointed by the dearth of quality burger chains in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, she decided to venture into the male-dominated QSR industry with a two-pronged strategy of driving innovation and delivery in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, and in retrospect, to inspire more female entrepreneurs in the F&B Industry.
Despite all odds, Neelam persevered in her pursuit of establishing a homegrown burger brand. Knee-jerk opposition from family, financial hardships, survival anxiety, and bouts of self-doubt Neelam braved it all with determination and started out in the food court of an IT company in Gurugram. Her belief in her vision translated into another success story when the first outlet opened in Palam Vihar. The brand now has over 65 locations and a thriving market presence.
Penetrating the male-dominated QSR and F&B industries is no mean feat, but Neelam ain't a quitter. She is constantly expanding the brand and working rigorously towards positioning TBC as one of the top locally produced burger brands in India.
She and her husband, Nitesh, intend to use their other businesses to further diversify into the hospitality sector.
