FLOAP, is the brainchild of Shruthi V Nithin who has built this pet services aggregator as one-stop platform for all kinds of pet care solutions across India, to connect and help the pet lover’s community. Whether it is a hamster, Rottweiler, or Bengal cat, FLOAP database contains premium verified listings for services that will assist a pet parent from the moment they decide to bring home a pet. These include adoption centers, training providers, veterinarians, pet sitters and walkers, pet friendly restaurants, hotels and many more.

With the exponential rise in the pet ownership, the pet care industry is growing at a fast pace in India. The pet care industry is here to grow & sustain, while we need platforms which can cater to and provide 360 degree pet care solutions to make the industry more organized. FLOAP has created a platform to meet all the industry demands and take the Indian pet care industry to the next level.

Shruthi had never been with PET before sheet started FLOAP and her love for animals cam much later in life. So it was difficult for her to know the parenting need of a pet. Since she had little or no idea about the experience of handling pets she decided that her service under FLOAP will cover everything that a pet parent looks for. FLOAP stands for For Love Of All Pets. 

FLOAP is a liaison between pet parents, and people who provide pet high quality pet services. The online portal collates a wide range of premium services that have been verified through in-person visits, telephone calls, and reviews by existing customers. Through FLOAP, Shruthi hopes to make pet parenting easier, streamline the pet service industry in India, help people experience the joys of being among pets, and build a sense of community.

Pet parenting can sometimes be hectic with the imbalanced work life and it becomes to take out time for pets at home. With FLOAP, one can easily overcome the struggle of finding the right information, getting multiple references, and engaging in random social media conversations.  FLOAP also conducts an awareness programme called ‘Pet Talks’ where experts address pet parents about topics like animal therapy and nutrition. Through Pet Talks, pet parents can also exchange experiences, tips and tricks about taking care of pets. FLOAP also partners with Animal Angels Foundation, an NGO which focuses on Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT)

Pet parents and pet service providers have started to place a lot of trust in FLOAP, and company believes to do their best to live up to customer's expectations. In 2019, FLOAP raised capital from angel investors who include Shabir Momin, a serial entrepreneur and MD & CTO of Zenga TV, Rohit Nanda,a Singapore-based equity investor, Priyadarshi Mohapatra, who is currently at a senior leadership position at Microsoft India and Saurabh Pathak, Founder of Digital Democracy and Cafe Gurukul. These investors come with vast experience across different industries and will also be advising Floap’s management team in strategy and growth. This round of funding will be used to evolve Floap and help scale the business.
