Google Began To Offer These Three Features More Broadly For Search

According to a report by 9to5Google, Google is rolling out a fairly new Settings button to a web search. It's also about to test a new dark mode toggle. Lastly, Google was also seen testing custom backgrounds on mobile devices.

The user should be able to find the New Settings button at the top of the page to the left of the Account Switch option.

The report says that seven new options - Languages, Search Options, Advanced Search, Hidden Search Results, and a new menu with the new Google Search Options icon appear in the search.

While these are all the only options available, the only thing you might want is for Google to change its location. Previously, these could be found at the bottom of search results or in the "Tools" menu.

Switch to the dark mode

The report also states that the company is rolling out the dark mode toggle in a big way. When a user views dark mode for the first time, a message saying "Dark theme is now available" will appear in a box on the search page.

The company should be rolling out the dark mode icon on the left side of the screen next to the sign-in option.

Custom backgrounds on mobile devices

Lastly, the company is also set to introduce custom backgrounds in search on mobile devices. The 9to5Google report claims that the feature appears to be an account-based introduction to a test that first surfaced last year.
