Launching 5G Should Be The Country's First Priority: Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani was speaking at the country's biggest technology event, India Mobile Congress 2021 (IMC 2021).
Reliance Jio owner Mukesh Ambani has described the 5G rollout as the country's first priority. Speaking about 5G, Mukesh Ambani said, “We have developed a 100% native and comprehensive 5G solution that is completely cloud-native, digitally managed, and Indian. Due to our technology, Jio network can be upgraded from 4G to 5G at the earliest.” Mukesh Ambani was speaking at the India Mobile Congress 2021 (IMC 2021), the country's biggest technology event.
Mukesh Ambani said that the government has lobbied to use the Universal Service Obligation Fund to give mobile subsidies in the country. Mukesh Ambani believes that if the marginalized people of the country have to be a part of the country's digital growth, then they should be provided with services and devices at affordable prices.
Mukesh Ambani said that India should complete the migration from 2G to 4G and then to 5G at the earliest. Keeping millions of Indians confined to 2G at the bottom of the socio-economic pyramid is depriving them of the benefits of the digital revolution. Because in Kovid we saw when everything was closed, then only internet and mobile kept us alive. Technology became the support for our life and employment.
India Mobile Congress 2021 started on Wednesday, this event will run for three days i.e. till December 10. Many eminent personalities from the telecom sector, including the Telecom Minister, are participating in the Mobile Congress.
